Egg shells are very rich in calcium, one of the essential minerals for our health. The structure of egg shells is similar to human bones and teeth structure, so they are easily absorbable by the human body. Keeping the proper calcium levels in our body helps preventing osteoporosis, supports nerve and muscle function, improves sleep quality, and normalizes heartbeat. Calcium is also needed for supporting the immune system and maintaining our skin and hair healthy.

You may ask yourself how you can consume egg shells as they don’t seem to be very tasty. Here are some tips that will help you to include them in your diet:
- Crushed eggshells with lemon, honey and brandy for thyroid gland
Wash 8 eggshells and crush them and squeeze two lemons and pour the juice over them. Refrigerate the mixture for a few days until the eggshells will soften. Then strain the liquid and mix it with 1kg honey and 1l brandy. Keep the mixture for a week before using it. You should take 1 teaspoon after meals, 2-4 times a day.
- Eggshells with walnuts for stomach
For this recipe you have to grind a spoonful of eggshells and blend them with a spoonful of sugar and the same amount of crushed walnuts. It is recommended to consume this mixture 3 times a day for 3 weeks. Alternatively, you may consume a drink prepared from crushed eggshells, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, added in 100ml of hot milk. Use this mixture twice a day, in the morning on an empty stomach and at night before going to bed.
- Eggshells and lemon water for strengthening the body
3-5 crashed eggshells have to be added in 3l water. You should keep this mixture in refrigerator for about 7 days and then drink it instead of plain water. You may drink 2-3 cups every day combined with lemon juice.
