I am turning 40 soon and I would like to believe that I become wiser than I was 10 years ago. Reflecting on this, I give you some tips of what you should do or avoid to do when you are 30 in order to remain happy when you turn 40:
- You are not old in your 30s
You are not old even when you turn 40. The most important thing is that you are healthy and you have to take care of your health paying more attention from now on.
- You shouldn’t marry just because you’re afraid of being alone.
If you didn’t find your significant other yet, don’t panic. You don’t have to marry just because you think that the right person for you doesn’t exist. Someday, you’ll find the right person for you
- And it’s OK even if you don’t find the right person for you.
You are complete and you should be OK with yourself even if you didn’t find your soul mate. It is great to end up with someone who is a great match for you, but if it isn’t happening you have to be happy with yourself.
- Treat yourself kindly.
You have to love yourself first in order to be open to share love with others. Treat yourself kindly, don’t judge and don’t criticize you all the time. Like this, you will be able to show greatness to others, too.
- Stop drinking alcohol.
Alcohol brings a lot of harm on the body, if consumed constantly. Drink less alcohol in order to remain healthy and avoid unpleasant hangovers.
- Train yourself to be adaptable.
Being adaptable to changing and opportunities and you will have an easier life.
- Feel comfortable within your body.
You cannot change your body, it is the only one you have. Don’t be ashamed with your aspect, accept all your features and you will feel secure with yourself.
- Don’t be so judgmental.
Be open minded and be that there are many ways to live a life. You may change your perspective someday and maybe you will take another path in life at a certain moment.
- Be malleable.
Don’t get trapped in your righteousness. People have different ideas and opinions, you don’t know their inner reasons that lead them to act in a way or another. Be more flexible and don’t judge them for any tiny thing.
- Listen to people and be there if they need you.
Really listen to what people have to say. Don’t give them advice all the time, just be there for them and be ready to offer them your help if they ask for it.
- Simplify your life.
Sometimes we don’t need every little thing we buy. We don’t need to gather so much stuff. Streamline your life. If you have cloths or any other things you haven’t used in a long time, donate or sell them. There is no need to keep them until you get old.
